Many plan to travel to Jerusalem to walk on the ground on which Jesus walked, touching the waters of the Jordan River. Others say they want to be born in Jesus' generation to see Him, hear Him, and touch His Wounds. Rightly, because the Blood shed by His Wounds has saved us and they make many miracles and changes of life to this day. But even today, you can do much more than these plans: you can receive His Blood and His Body in the church of your neighborhood, there by your side! truly: receiving Holy Communion, just believe in this truth. That's so much better than just seeing him or touched Him. That's what Blessed Carlo Acutis did every day. He wondered: why do people line up at the movies and don't line up in churches to receive the Eucharist??? People have no idea what they're losing!!!"
As in other Eucharistic miracles, in Lanciano God showed in human eyes His Flesh and Blood to convert hard hearts that doubted His presence in the Eucharist, as well as to renew the faith of many and not let their spiritual eyes blind.
In the year 750 there was a monk, in the city of Lanciano, considered very studious and intellectual. But... when the moment of consecration came, in his heart he was constantly doubting the fact that the Eucharist was effectively transformed into the Blood and Flesh of Jesus. And this questioning lasted for a long time, trying to overcome this crucial problem in his religious journey through prayer.
That's when God answered him as follows:
In one of the Masses, the monk uttered the words of consecration and the Holy Host immediately became Flesh and Wine in Blood. The miracle was seen by all the gifts of that Holy Mass. The priest was very afraid at first, but then went into ecstasy, going to tears. He invited everyone present to come closer and see how God destroyed his lack of faith by exposing His Flesh and Blood through the Host and Wine.
Only in 1970 did the Catholic Church request a renowned specialist in the field, Dr. Eduardo Linoli, in thorough and rigorous scientific examination. In 1973, another 500 examinations were made by a scientific committee appointed by the World Health Organization. Both surveys came to the same conclusions:
The WHO and UN report concludes that there is no scientific explanation that can respond to these exposed and real facts. So, if in the Eucharist of 12 centuries ago lies to this day the living Flesh and Blood of Jesus, will you doubt that the Eucharist you will receive at the next Mass are also the Body and Blood of the risen and living Christ?!
