Our Lady of the Head: intercessor for the cure of neurological, psychiatric, psychological illnesses and for children with school problems

The evils that attack our heads in modern times are numerous, of a physical or mental character. They are headaches, headaches, depressions, anxieties, mental disorders, etc. With the pandemic generating long covid in many brothers, added to the isolations and losses of social contact, these evils that torment our peace of mind and consequently our lives were multiplied. But we Catholics have an intercessor also for these trials: Our Lady of the Head!  Read his miraculous story in 1227 in Spain.

A sheepherder, named Juan de Rivas, was in his work routines on the pasture when he heard a bell noise on the hill next to him. This was repeated other times. Finally, he lost the fear that he was being deceived by his own mind and went to the place at the top of The Hill of the Head (so-called) in the middle of a night. Still in the distance he noticed lights on the summit of the hill, in addition to the bell ringing, taking him more quickly to the place. Arriving, his eyes came across the change of his story from that moment:

The rays became more intense, coming out of a cave, where also was the bell that heard in the distance. Beside the bell was her, Our Lady, to whom the humble pastor was very devout. He asked what his will for him to accomplish it. The Mother then asks that he not be afraid and to go to the city of Andújar to announce to the population that the time had come to fulfill God's will; therefore, citizens should build a church in that place where miracles would be performed to those who believed.

But one concern tormented him at that moment: "would you believe me?" Our Lady, seeing her thoughts, performs her first miracle there: she restores the pastor's arm, which was amputated in a war.  He ran to spread the message in the village, which was ecstatic with the miracle of the restored arm before his eyes and came to worship it, building a sanctuary for the Mother in that place.

The image of Our Lady of the Head in Brazil is different from the Spanish image. Here the most holy Mother effectively holds a head in her hands, due to another miracle performed to this devotion:

A man was wrongfully sentenced to death for beheading his head. He invokes the holy Mother seen at the top of the Mount of the Head to save him, promising to carry a wax head to his image of depositing it on his feet if he made the intercession with the Father. Then, just before the beheading, a messenger of the king appears forforgiven him, for they concluded that the verdict of his punishment was mistaken!

The people who accompanied the martyrdom exclaim, "Our Lady saved you!".  From then on, some images began to bring a head into the hands of the virgin. She became the intercessor for people with brain health problems, mental or psychological. The request of mothers with children with school problems through their intercession is also recurrent.
