Saint Anthony contemplates the Child Jesus in his arms in an inn

A miracle published on the website of Blessed Carlo Acutis and translated by our Miraculum team. It's a short story, but at the same time very grand, because it's about the Child Jesus playing in the arms of St. Anthony. What could be grander than that?

St. Anthony of Padua had a heavenly vision of the Child Jesus, of which a man was a witness, as recounted in (Libermiraculorum 22,1-8):

“Once, when Blessed Anthony was preaching in a town, he was taken in by a resident of that place. This person gave him a room so that he could study and carry out his meditations and contemplations undisturbed. Then, while he prayed alone in his room, the landowner increased his comings and goings through his buildings.

While observing with concern and interest the room where St. Anthony was praying alone, secretly glancing through a window, he saw a beautiful, happy baby appear in Blessed Anthony's arms. The saint hugged and kissed him, gazing at his face with unceasing devotion. That citizen, amazed and ecstatic at the beauty of that baby, thought to himself: where could such a lovely child have come from? This baby was the Lord Jesus.

He (the Child-God) revealed to Blessed Anthony that his host was watching him. After a long time of prayer, when the vision disappeared, the saint called the citizen and forbade him to reveal to anyone what he had seen.”
