Jesus told the crowd (Matthew 13:44-46): "The Kingdom of God is like a hidden treasure." Did you ever wonder how much more you'd seek this treasure if you had a slightest notion of how immensely valuable it is? Well, that's it. God has already given us several indications of how splendid the happiness that awaits us in Paradise with Him is. Don Bosco obtained by a revelation in a dream of only a spark of light from this infinitely magnificent place and of God himself, confirmed by several later prophecies passed on to them in this vision, reinforcing the veracity of this divine dream. It was the night of December 6, Don Bosco was in his chambers and lay down. Soon he began to dream. He was in a garden of immense and beautiful meadows, whose views did not see the end. Although our trees, flowers and fruits resemble dwellers there, they were different because their beauty was much superior.
The trees had diamond trunks and gold leaves. There were also stunning buildings and palaces in the middle of the gardens, in which for the construction of only one of them would not be enough all the treasures of the earth.
He then saw a vast ness of young people approaching, many of them had already passed through his Oratory and schools on earth, but most of them were unknown, led by St. Dominic Savius. All sang in a harmony and notes that human capacity could not reproduce, steeped in immense happiness. His robes were different from each other but all splendid and each with his own particular meaning that he would not know how to understand.

After some silence of contemplation and a certain fear for not understanding where he was yet, Don Bosco begins a conversation with his old friend Domingos Savio, asking: is this place the prize of the righteous? To his surprise, Domingos Savio replies that NO! What I saw there were only time joys, only magnified to a large extent by God. They were natural things embellished by God.
There falls a much greater and stronger light than the sunlight. Don Bosco then asks another question: and could there be a more beautiful light than this?
Domingos Savio exclaims: if he knew! You'll have proof: look at the bottom of that crystal sea. Don Bosco then saw a spark of light from the thickness of a hair, but as a light and force so strong that he launched a cry. The force of that spark of light was a hundred million times greater than that of the sun and could illuminate the entire universe.
Finally, question: but what are the best wishes of Paradise?! Domingos Savio replies: impossible to report. While man is on earth, he cannot know it, only when he joins the Creator.
They talked about other subjects, but as proof of the veracity that what he saw in a dream was real and exists, Domingos Savio presented, initially, facts of the reality of his students of the Oratory through three letters, describing those who were (1) on the path of salvation, (2) of those who were injured but turned to the Lord and (3) those who were in perdition . Don Bosco spent the 15 days following the dream inspecting in his students the details he saw to make sure, without telling anyone anything. Everything was real.
Domingos Savio also prophesied that in 1877 six more of his sons would be taken. Six students and two clerics effectively died that year. He also dictated a second prophecy: the death of Pius IX that would occur soon. A few months later he passed away, as he was told.
Finally his friend ended with a third prophecy: he would go through countless trials and sufferings, which came to occur, accompanying Don Bosco until the last day of his life after that dream.
