Jesus takes the heart of Saint Catherine of Siena for a few days and transplants His Sacred Heart into her

Saint Catherine of Siena was a great mystic and doctor of the church. Throughout his life he received apparitions from Jesus (or the Child Jesus) and dialogued with Him, often in long spiritual ecthases. For some times, he fed only on the Holy Eucharist. One day, after communion, in one of her prayers, she asked God to grant her a pure heart and always restoring the straight path to follow.

After this prayer, she saw Jesus before her. He opened the saint's back, withdrew her heart, and left her presence. She remained without her heart for a few days, reporting it to her confessor. Even though it seemed impossible to her, Catherine reaffirmed that it was true.

Two days later, remaining alive without heart, as he attended another Mass, he returned to see Our Lord before him, with an incredible vision:

Jesus came with a shining heart in His hands. He opened Catherine's back and transplanted this new heart, saying, "My daughter, I took your heart a few days ago, now I give you Mine, which will serve you instead of yours from now on.

Saint Catherine spent the rest of her life with the Heart of Jesus on her breast!!! At the place where Jesus opened her ribs and had the transplant, there remained a scar that could be seen by countless sisters living with her. The saint also reported that the Heart of Jesus pulsed strongly when he received the Holy Eucharist, so that even those at his side could feel the pulses coming from Him.

God still grants her, during his lifetime, the five stigmas of His Passion, as He also did with several church saints. But in her case, the stigmas were visible only to her. Only in her death were they visible so that others could witness this miracle more in their lives.
