Photo of Pope John Paul II speaks and extends his hand to a lady who was dying of a brain aneurysm, healing her: the miracle of his canonization

Admiration for Pope John Paul II began with his visit to Costa Rica in 1983. At that moment, Costa Rican Floribeth Mora Diaz was impressed: "He was a man completely full of holiness". She had no idea that it would be a future intercession from the Pope himself that would save her from death and make him officially a saint!

Floribeth was 50 years old in 2011, a period in which a major change in her life began. After undergoing tomography scans, she was diagnosed with a severe cerebral aneurysm, already leaking blood and in an inaccessible location - medicine could do nothing more. All he could do was go home and wait for the last month of his life. The horror and fear she felt had never been imagined by her before, and her family's feelings were even worse: "It was horrible, horrible to see the suffering of my family, my children; and I suffered because I wasn't going to see them anymore"

She reports that despite all her faith, she felt afraid, because she is human! But at this moment he turned to God and also remembered John Paul II, who had already died five years earlier asking for his intercession:

"Lord, I have faith; but increase my faith, Lord, because I am afraid. John Paul, pray for me"

His health quickly deteriorated, with severe headaches, problems with speech and the use of his left hand. Edwin Arce, her husband, offered all his emotional support to his wife, but when he was alone, he also entered into her moments of despair:

"In the hospital, when I was desperate, begging God... I said: 'God, help me, Karol Wojtyla, intercede before God, help me with this, I can't do this'

At this moment, he heard a voice:

"Take her" . He understood it was something spiritual, but he was afraid to take her out of the hospital. Then he heard the same voice again: "Take her, don't be afraid" . Then he had no more doubts, it was God, it was John Paul II.

And then they went back home.

That same year, the beatification process of John Paul II had been approved by the Vatican after approval of a great miracle (READ MORE BY CLICKING HERE). The beatification would be broadcast on TV on May 1st. Floribeth didn't want to lose for anything! However, Edwin insisted on taking his daily sedative medications... He ended up taking them... but he woke up inexplicably at two in the morning and was able to watch the ceremony broadcast from St. Peter's Square.

That same morning, around eight o'clock, she woke up suddenly in her room, she was alone, and she heard a voice:

"Get up" . Fear took over her, as she was alone in her room at the time. Then he looked at a magazine he had received as a gift, with an image of John Paul II on the cover. And the miracle happened before his eyes, when the image came to life, he extended his hands out of the magazine and spoke to it: “Get up. Don't be afraid." At that exact moment his fear disappeared and he replied: "Yes, Lord!" He then stood up little by little, feeling his spirit renewed and a great peace. Despite his body still telling him otherwise, he knew that she was healed by the deep peace that God gave her.

She walked to the kitchen where her husband was and said, "I feel good!" , and continued: "my love, I want to tell you something, but maybe you think I'm crazy." He lovingly asked her to stay calm, he wouldn't think anything wrong about her. And as soon as she told about the voice she heard and the image of John Paul II speaking to her, she said: "My love, remain calm; If you're crazy, I'm crazy, because I also heard those words in the hospital".

From that first day onwards, his body gradually regenerated until it became completely healthy. He scheduled a new brain exam and took it to his doctor, Alejandro Vargas Román, afterwards. The doctor simply couldn't understand how the aneurysm had completely disappeared and his brain was perfect. She then tells him what happened and concludes:

It was God who healed me, with the intercession of John Paul II

Floribeth later underwent further examinations by several neurologists from the medical commission appointed by the Vatican who also found that there was no damage to the brain, with free arteries and no sequelae. This miracle made possible the canonization of John Paul II (the last step towards sanctification, after beatification), officially becoming a saint of the Catholic Church!

John Paul II and John XXIII were canonized on the same day, April 27, 2014, in a ceremony in Saint Peter's Square attended by million people . See below the moment of the ceremony in which the inscriptions in the book of Saints of both Popes took place:
