Our Lord transforms Santa Faustina's heavy work into bouquets of flowers

We all have some kind of difficult or tiring routine work, often boring, that take away from us the will to do so. Some at work, others in homework activities. The Saints go through that, too. And God has shown us through St Faustina that these routine efforts, when carried out, are pleasing to God!

One of St Faustina's activities in her novitiate was in the routines of the kitchen. I needed to load very heavy and large pots, making it very difficult to run the potatoes. The saint had such difficulty with this simple activity that he could drop half the potatoes out of the pan.

Despite her willingness and zeal to do this activity, the immense difficulty led her to dodge her, causing strangeness of her close sisters.  She explained to God her problem and her lack of strength in this simple activity. His soul received the Lord's immediate response

Jesus: "From now on you will do this with great ease. I will strengthen your strength" (Diário, 65)

Jesus' words inside had strengthened him and rushed to do work near the dinner period. As Jesus promised, she did very easily this time, without dropping the potatoes. But to his perplexity, when he opened the lid of the pot after boiling them, there were no potatoes, but splendid branches of immensely beautiful red roses, even reporting to be indescribable!

Again, then, Jesus speaks inwardly in his soul:

Jesus: "I am turning your work so heavy into bouquets of the most beautiful flowers, and their perfume rises to My throne" (Diário, 65)

Santa Faustina went from that day until even doing this activity in the days of the week that were the turn of the sisters and always ready to be the first to do any heavy work, because she realized that for God this was very good!

Saint Faustina then reflects and concludes: "O inexhaustible treasure of the purity of intent, which makes all our actions perfect and so pleasing to God! (Diary, 66)
