This miracle was recounted in the documentary “A Father's Heart: Saint Joseph” by the nun Maria Luz Del Corazon de Jesus from the monastery De La Familia Del Verbo Incarnado in Spain. We have tried to summarize it in our own words as follows.
Maria Luz, when she was still a laywoman, was sent to Brazil to help with a mission called Aspirantado. The purpose of this mission was to help young girls under the age of 18 who aspired to enter religious life. To do so, they had to be welcomed into a home by the nuns.
But the “problem” was that they were beginning to grow in number and needed more space. The mother superior took the lead in this search, but, of course, with supernatural help:
Mother asked the girls to pray with her for 30 days to St. Joseph. In addition, each of them had to write on a piece of paper a request about what they would like the house to have, something that would please them.
And there were several unusual requests:
“I want there to be rabbits in the house”
“I want there to be a big tree so we can climb up and see the moon”
“I want a soccer field in the house”“I want there to be an inner courtyard”
“I want us to have money to pay for the house!”. - This young woman asked wisely, because there would be no point in having the other things without getting the money to pay for the house!
Having finished their requests, they left the papers under a statue of St. Joseph and prayed for 30 days. Just before the end of the period, the mother received a call from the diocese saying that they had a house for the girls. The mother immediately went to see the place. When she arrived and saw the house, she was astonished:
EVERYTHING the girls had asked for in the papers was there inside and out: the rabbits, the big tree, the soccer field, the inner courtyard... Oh, and the wise request was also granted: the house was a gift and wouldn't cost anything, so it was already paid for!
The nun ends by confirming with exaltation: it was a great miracle and a gift from St. Joseph in less than a month!
Watch the documentary, there are many other accounts of uplifting miracles through the intercession of St. Joseph, ranging from healings to conversions and the restoration of broken marriages!
