The power of a mother's prayers: girl frees herself from alcoholism and is cured of her illnesses caused by addiction (liver, gallbladder, spleen and uterus) through the intercession of Father Léo

Brazil has some priests who are candidates for sainthood, the most recent being Father Léo. He was a well-known priest because he moved crowds with his preaching, was very active in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, as well as being a great speaker on Catholic radio and television, such as TV Canção Nova and Associação do Bom Senhor - converting countless hardened souls through his simple explanations of the Gospel, shaped by his cheerful and irreverent manner. He didn't stop there: he also wrote 27 books and founded the Bethânia community, which welcomes marginalized people as if they were Christ himself

In 2020, the opening of the process for his beatification together with the young Marcelo Henrique Câmara was accepted (READ MORE about this young man's saintly life by CLICKING HERE). In this initial stage, both became Servants of God

The opening of the ecclesiastical tribunal to analyze his life of holiness can be seen in the following video:

Among the many miracles already reported of his intercession with God, we highlight this testimony moved by the faith of a mother asking for his help to free her daughter from alcoholism.

A mother's prayers through Father Léo's intercession

The following miracle about the end of Jussara Ribeiro's addiction to alcohol was reported on TV Canção Nova by Fernanda Ribeiro. We have chosen this miracle in particular because Father Léo, in his teens, was a marijuana and cigarette user until he entered the seminary, when he broke his addictions. So his intercession in this miracle is very relevant and significant, because as well as being able to give up his teenage addictions, once in the priesthood he also dedicated a large part of his social actions to caring for addicts and/or drug addicts

“In the emptiness of the room, a silent pain:

- Jussara: I started having contact with alcoholic drinks when I was about thirteen or fourteen, with beer. Only then... It was harmless... For me, right?

It wasn't. The young woman became dependent and faced the consequences of alcoholism

- Jussara: I drank every day. From dawn till dusk. I'd wake up at dawn and drink too... All the time. I was away from home for two or three days. I couldn't focus on treatment with any doctor... Or go to church, or anything.

In her suffering, a light appeared: a dream about a servant of God, Father Léo, marked her story.

- Jussara: He sat on the edge of my bed and spoke to me.

Then (she says), the priest took her to a certain place in the living room of her house. This was the place where Jussara's mother, Dona Glória, prayed for her daughter to be freed from alcoholism. In the dream Jussara had about Father Léo, she was brought to this very spot in the house (see photo below). According to her account, the priest prayed (there) for the cure of her addiction and also left her an important mission so that she could move on:

- Jussara: He said: “You're going to stop drinking and you're going to help other people”

And the young woman stopped drinking. The help started with Elaine who also had problems with alcohol:

-Elaine: Jussara was my guardian angel, who was always there... Insisted... she Persisted by my side... Giving support... I thank God for her life. She fulfilled Father Léo's mission very well!!!

But Jussara's tests still revealed the consequences of excessive drinking: problems with the liver, gallbladder, spleen and uterus. New requests were made to the Servant of God and the (other) grace was (also) achieved:

- Jussara: Last year I did all the tests and I didn't have anything. Totally cured! Now it would be a dream to see him as a saint! I have a lot of faith and I believe a lot.”

This is just one of the miracles among the more than 4000 (four thousand) miracles already reported through his intercession, with countless of them being part of his beatification process. We believe he will soon progress to the Venerable stage. But with proof of a great miracle, he will already be Blessed.

So if you are in need of a miracle or for your family or a friend, especially to free yourself from addictions, take advantage and ask for the intercession of our new priest candidate for saint!!!

If you receive any grace, report your testimony to the official collection email and analyze it for forwarding to the process at the Vatican: testimonies@padreleo.com.br

Prayer asking for the intercession of Father Léo - Servant of God

Holy Father, dear Father, beloved Father, we praise You and bless You, because You created us out of love. In Your Son Jesus You saved the world and in the power of the Holy Spirit You restore man and woman.

We praise You and bless You for Your servant Father Leo, whom You called to life and to the priesthood, to be an instrument of Your love in the world. With your mission, we discover that You are a loving and joyful God, and that You always wrap us in Your mercy. With him, many Christians resumed the path of Conversion, Restoration and Inner Healing. Through their testimony of faith, many couples and thousands of people were willing to seek things from above, through perseverance in faith.

In his welcoming embrace, many sons and daughters, disfigured by chemical dependency and marginalization, were welcomed like Christ himself in the Bethânia Community. Thus, we ask You that through the intercession of Your servant Father Léo we may obtain the grace to: (make the request).

Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, now and forever. Amen.
